Recipe:
- 1 Cup Farm Fresh Pecan Halves (I prefer the smaller size of Native halves, but you can use any size half or piece)
- ¼ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
- ¼ Cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- ⅛ Teaspoon Salt
For Extra Flavor:
- ⅛ Teaspoon desired spice (I prefer cinnamon, but you could use any combo of sweet or savory spices)
- Splash of vanilla
Directions:
- Prep a dinner plate by placing a piece of parchment paper on it. Set aside.
- Place farm fresh pecans, brown sugar, water, butter and salt in a medium non-stick skillet.
- Cook on the stove over high heat for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- For two additional minutes, reduce to medium-high heat and continue cooking, stirring constantly.
- Once the pecans are glossy, darker and begin clumping, move immediately to the prepared parchment paper. Spread the nuts in a single layer and separate them as much as possible. Let cool.
