Recipe:
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup farm fresh pecans (I prefer either small or extra large pecan pieces)
- 2 cups peaches (any kind - canned, fresh, frozen & thawed; no syrup)
- 1/2 cup real butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/3 cups brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350*F.
- Combine flour, sugar, milk and vanilla. Do not overmix. Embrace the lumps.
- In a 9” x 13” pan, evenly pour the melted butter.
- Spread the peaches over the butter. Sprinkle peaches with the farm fresh pecans.
- Pour the batter over the butter, peaches and farm fresh pecans. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
- Finally, pour the hot water over the batter. Do not stir. Trust me, it's going to turn out great. :)
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Enjoy!
